Disinfection

GLASSDRIVE_disinfection

We sanitize your vehicle quickly, simply and effectively.

We perform cleaning service of your vehicle with ozone. It is an effective method to eliminate harmful microorganisms from the interior of your car, including disinfection of the passenger compartment and car air conditioning ducts.

What does Ozone Sanitization do?

  • Disinfects the air and surfaces of the vehicle, destroying bacteria, viruses and fungi
  • It is effective in destroying microorganisms
  • Prevents the spread of viruses and bacteria
  • Purifies the air inside the car and treats unwanted odors (acts as a deodorant)
  • Disinfects places where sprays or nebulizers are more difficult to reach - including the air conditioning system

Benefits of Ozone Sanitization

When we talk about disinfection, ozone is 600 times more efficient than chlorine. It is effective in the destruction of microorganisms and is even used in hospital hygiene. In addition to its efficiency in cleaning, this method does not use water or chemicals that can harm the environment, cause allergies or damage the car's materials. Additionally, it prevents the spread of viruses and bacteria that could be acquired through contact with the interior of the car.

Attention: hygiene does not prevent transmission by direct contact with people infected with any type of virus.

How long does ozone sanitization take?

It usually takes an average of 5 minutes but this can vary depending on the size of your car. After the execution of the ozone cleanse, the vehicle remains in isolation for another 30 minutes, so that the gas used is dissipated and the ozone (O3) decomposes again into oxygen (O2)

How does ozone work?

Cleansing of vehicles is carried out with an ozone generating machine, through the so-called ‘ozonization’ process. Ozone is a highly reactive gas, which is produced when oxygen (O2) interacts with electrical energy or ultraviolet radiation, generating tri-atomic molecules of oxygen – Ozone (O3). Ozone's extra oxygen molecule binds to harmful material molecules (viruses, bacteria, fungi, odors, etc.). In this way, this same material oxidizes, transforming it back into oxygen (O2).

Is this method safe?

Ozone is a gas that can be dangerous when inhaled in its concentrated form. For that same reason, the ozonation process is done in a closed environment - without the presence of people - and your car is kept safe until the gas dissipates. After the gas dissipates (O3 turns back into O2), it is completely safe to use your car again.

Our technicians are trained to disinfect your vehicle safely.

When should you sanitize your vehicle?

With the hectic pace of our days, the hours spent in traffic and the growing air pollution, it is advisable to regularly disinfect the interior of your vehicle – 1 to 2 times a year.
